This is an excellent book I have ever read on prostate cancer. Because it is easy to understand. There are some other books on the subject but when you read them it is very difficult to understand. In other words, it is also easy for layman to understand this book. While reading a book if you understand most of what the book says you get pleasure. As is known, medical language is a highly technical language, it is not easy to understand such language. But this book solves the language problems and the reader can easily understand most of the book if he is a careful reader. I would like to thank both the authors and the publisher to publish such a good book to help people like me.

Thanks for your valuable help

A diagnosis of prostate cancer is just the first step in a long process, the next step must be educating yourself. The depth of information available can be staggering and often conflicting. Doctors will rarely agree on a definitive course of treatment. Fortunately, for the vast majority of us there is time to educate and reflect on all the options available. This book is a very good place to start the education process and full of references to other sources to completely explore your options

This book is by far the best work done as yet on the subject, it also covers all forms of advanced PC and should be read by G.P.s as well as patients otherwise the G.P. will soon be listening to the patient.

"A Primer on Prostate Cancer - The Empowered Patient's Guide" provides excellent insight into answering the many questions of the newly diagnosed or recurring Prostate Cancer patient. We recommend its review and strongly recommend that every Prostate Cancer patient purchase the "Primer" not only for himself but for his physician as likely the most authoritative and informative book available that explains the many aspects of Prostate Cancer treatment in medical terms that can be understood by both the layman patient and his attending physician. Dr. Strum and Donna Pogliano have provided us the procedures being practiced by those who specialize specifically in Prostate Cancer research and treatment and who are far ahead of their contemporaries in recognizing and understanding the latest innovations in Prostate Cancer therapy. This book does an outstanding job of covering the treatment options for prostate cancer. It is a particularly good place to start for a newly diagnosed man (or his wife or family members) in learning about the disease. The clear readable presentation and excellent color illustrations set this book above others on the same subject. It should be required reading for the newly diagnosed man.
