I've been a fan of dance music for about a decade now and I am happy to say that Armin Van Buuren tops my list. State of Trance is a series which sought to live up to the name and does live up to the name. It is the compass, though not the sole compass for which trance music is defined every year. State of Trance 2007 not only attempts to secure Armin's position as the foremost DJ in the world, but the mix itself once again has brought something unexpected to an oftentimes predictable genre. What is expected with every year is that classics are manufactured at the run of the mill, with the same quality and life that previous year's mixes have been able to bring.
State of Trance 2007 which includes Firefly, Formentera, Walk Away, and countless other tracks effortlessly molds together into an entity which transports the listener to another age defining moment in dance music. 2007 is all about State of Trance and State of Trance is all about Armin.

Absolutely brilliant compilation from Armin. CD1 has an awsome chilled trance vibe with CD2 just kicking hard and beautiful. ASOT 2007 has got to put AVB at the number 1 slot in the DJ Rankings, nothing that PVD comes up with can be as brilliant as this CD. Buy now, you won't regret.

I wasn't impressed with last years ASOT 06. The mix didn't sound that great. It's like he was just playing songs right after another with hardly any transitions. It has a lot of fillers too in the second disc.
Anyways, I'm in love with this years ASOT 07. The songs flow really well, especially the first disc. Kinda reminds me of Marcus Schulz Ibiza 06 album. You can listen to the whole album without skipping a song.. I agree that this year might be Armin's year as top DJ. Listening to this mix will make you vote for him too..

This is the best trance cd ive ever heard. If you're fed up with most trance albums, like I am, that only have a few good songs, this cd is a dream come true. All the way through Armin's track selection flows unbelievably well, and this state of trance blows every other one away, even 06 . Like 06, both cds have the "on the beach" and "in the club" theme, and armin does the best job at making you feel you're there. The songs sound amazing and the vocals are great(theres quite a few). This cd should put him at #1 in the world, anyone who listens to trance must get this album
