I have to read this book for a report for school but believe me,this book is against my will. The reason I hate this book is because all that stuff, tessering through space, having friends which a which and mrs. who and mrs whatsit that changes into a thing is just way to much science fiction for anyone.

Summary: This book is about a girl named Meg who is trying to find her father who was researching the "tessercat" problem. Three witches, Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which make a wrinkle in time so they can go back in time. Charles Wallace and Calvin O'Keefe help Meg look for her father.
What I like most about the book: What I liked most about the book was that it was a great fantasy full of magic.
What I didn't like and why: I did not like the character Calvin O'Keefe. He was a huge showoff and made people feel bad about things that they should not be ashamed of. But he ended up falling in love with Meg.
The scene, line, or passage that meant something to me and why (page #): On page 36, Mrs. Who says the language of Seneca, " Ab honesto virum bonum nihil deteret. Nothing deters a good man from doing what is honorable." To me, this means that a good man does not fear to do the right thing.
What i would say about this book to someone else: I would definetely tell someone to read this book because it is very well done and makes you not want to put the book down.
One question I have after reading this book: What did Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which do at the end that was so important that they could not say goodbye to Charles, Meg, and Calvin.
My stongest reason for recommending this book: I highly recommend this book because it is very mysterious. magical, and full of exhileration that just will make you want to keep reading and reading.

We've read the book along with the others in the series to our kids (and seen the movie) we've become very familiar with the story. Having the story read by the author is a truely wonderful experience. It's obvious where Madeleine L'Engle wants to put the ephasis of the story and the way she reads really brings it to life. A great addition for all Madeleine L'Engle Fans.

Madeline L'engle's A Wrinkle in Time is a picture in words. She gives a clear description of the setting, the characters, inside and out. You would almost think that her book is real, as you enter a world full of magic where you create a "tesseract" (wrinkle in time).
In this novel, young Meg, along with her younger brother Charles Wallace, friend Calvin O'Keefe and Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Whatsit, must rescue Meg's father as he is trapped fighting against a mysterious dark force. Meg is caring, sensitive, and very impatient. She wants to find her father, after he's been missing for over a year, right away, without helping fight this dark force. Charles Wallace, Calvin, and the three W's have patience and know to do things at a steady pace.
When Meg and friends try to fight IT, they realize IT's too powerful. They try to think of something that they have that IT does not. They only have a certain amount of time, before IT covers the universe in darkness!
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes science fiction. This is not as science fiction as The Twilight Zone. I would recommend this book for readers ages 10+.
