Author: Guest SO I bought this one while on vacation with my little boy of then 10 months. Totally mesmerized by this one and I loved it too, the music and content. I've just bought baby neptune & van gogh and I liked it alot but my son goes in and out of one, more verbal and maybe he's a little young for it, but looks great. The only one that annoys me is the baby einstein language nursery, annoyed me to have it on, the sounds of all the different languages, not musical. Didn't care for their choice of language and the visuals were too boring, too slow, & too simple...looks like they spent little on making this video. ANyway ... baby mozart was great for the younger months. world animals ok. well thats what i think, hope it helps ya in some way

Author: Guest WeakWe have every Baby Einstein DVD up though Baby MacDonald. The first 10 DVDs directly involved Julie Clark, the creative force behind Baby Einstein. The next three, Galileo, Neptune and MacDonald, reduce her involvement as she concentrates more on the stewardship of the growing company. This is evidenced by some experimental tinkering with the magic Baby Einstein formula. In the case of Galileo, this tinkering was definitely in a negative direction. The look of the video is very different, going for a more film-like appearance as apposed to the hard digital video look found in previous editions (except when stock footage is used) I guess this is so the transition from original segments to the stock footage would be less jarring. The children who appear in the video seem to have obvious make up applied which sort of ruins the illusion of innocence. The music production is consistent with other Baby Einstein releases, even better in some areas, but song selection is uninspired. Production issues aside, my real complaint with Galileo is that is tragically boring. It hits a severe low with the moon segment, which may be ok if you want to put your child to sleep. However, the 'released balloon' transition idea was inspired. This is definitely one of our least favorites, along with Language Nursery. I'd recommend almost any of the others including Baby Neptune.

Author: Guest Unlike the other people who had negative feelings about this DVD, I think it is wonderful. I purchased this in the Volume 3 four pack, and it quickly became my daughter's favorite. She squeals with glee at the Kangaroo puppets, and is mesmerized throughout the video. She is only 4 months old, and now I dream of the day my little scientist grows up. I enjoy watching it with her also, the pictures are beautiful, and I can bounce her on my knee with the familiar tunes and she just giggles. It has definitely created a bonding time for us to savor every day.

Author: Guest My 22 month old thoroughly enjoys this DVD. I was hesitant to buy it due to the poor reviews it had received, but she can't get enough of it. Highly recommend it to all parents.

Author: Guest I was very worried when Disney bought out Baby Einstein. This DVD has a completely different feel than then the others and is the first one my son didn't really respond to. It's funny, the number of people and production companies listed in the credits is many times greater than on the 'real' Baby Einstein's but the quality is much worse. Too bad Pixar didn't buy them! A sad turn of events.
