I really enjoy reading the Baby Hearts book, especially the stories about babies and toddlers expressing their emotions with signs. This book is very informative and offers lots of tips for parents in an easy-to-read manner. The chapters are well-divided and the quick reference guide at the end of the book also comes in very handy.

I have now read Baby Signs, Baby Minds and Baby Heart. I absolutely LOVE all of these books. Baby Hearts was such a great read. Well organized, easy to understand and use. I have started using some of the suggested activities with my son and we are both enjoying them. I have read a lot of books on parenting and particularly on attachment parenting and I think Drs. Acredolo Goodwyn latest book tops them all. I would love to see these sold as a set so that I could buy them together as a shower gift. I will definitely be recommending this book to all of my friends.

I have read Drs. Goodwyn/Acredelo's other book: Baby Signs and am currently teaching my 4 month old some basic signs. I really enjoyed Baby Hearts as it provided me with some good insight into babies emotions. I never really thought about babies having thoughts and emotions, but after reading the book, I appreciate the research and publications re: infant communcation and emotional needs. This would be a great gift for a new parent!

Baby Hearts completes the circle in my opinion. I purchased both Baby Signs and Baby Minds by Linda Acredolo, Ph.D. and Susan Goodwyn, Ph.D. and found both books to be extremely beneficial in helping me interact with my daughter. After reading Baby Minds I felt even more prepared as a parent. Now my daughter is almost two and I found the chapter on friendship incredibly insightful. It explained the "mine" reaction and gave me some tools on how to intervene. I believe all three books are a MUST for every parent.

I was first introduced to the work of Dr. Linda Acredolo and
Dr. Susan Goodwyn when I read their book Baby Signs. I used the information in that book to sign with my daughter with amazing results. Therefore, I was very exited about the release of their Baby Hearts book. I was NOT disappointed!!!! Baby Hearts is a well written, easy to read and understand book about how to give your child an emotional head start. As always, the authors recognize that our children are individuals and speak to their needs accordingly. I would highly recommend this book to anyone with young children.
