Congratulations, you're a new mommy!
You've brought your brand-new bundle of joy home, and there's so much to look forward to: photos; baby's first word; clipping those oh-so-cute and very tiny fingernails; finding just the right stroller; sex again (gulp!); and, oh yes, losing the weight. The joys of being a new mommy or daddy are endless, but so are the worries and the advice. Jenny McCarthy, the New York Times bestselling author of Belly Laughs, told you the truth about pregnancy and childbirth. Now she's telling the truth about baby's first year. With hilarious musings on desperately trying to recall lullabies, losing the weight, baby- proofing the house, encountering mommies with superbabies, postpartum depression, dueling grandmas, and still trying to lose the weight, Baby Laughs is the perfect companion for anyone trying to raise the next president, those just trying to get to the next naptime, and anyone who was ever in diapers. Author: Guest This is obviously not a book if you're in true need of some guidance, nor was the pregnancy one. They are written to make you not take something so serious, so seriously. The pregnancy one was my favoirte, I just felt like finally, someone was saying something real. No, it's not medical, it's not all that useful for anyhting other than helping you realize you're not morphing into a freak, you're just normal. And, it's not gross, it's funny. Jenny McCarthy has not ever been someone I particualry liked or knew anything about. But I appreciate her bluntness, and humor.

Author: Guest OK, yes, Jenny McCarthy is just an actress, and I'm 99% sure didn't do any type of research for her books. But give me a break...she's a comedian! These books are supposed to be for your entertainment, and not much else. If you want a lot of research, try the very informative (but boring) What to Expect series...geez! Or better yet, if you don't like the girl, don't read her books! You've got to have a real fun household if you can't take her books with a grain of salt!

Author: Guest As with Belly Laughs, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I loved this book. It was very down to earth and made me laugh. It was nice to know that a celebrity shared similar experiences that I have in my baby's first year of life and wasn't afraid to talk about them. I would highly recommend this book to new moms.

Author: Guest I truly enjoyed reading this book. Jenny gives some detailed descriptions but they are so true that you can't help but find youself laughing outloud with her. Recommend this book to any expecting mothers or those who are already moms. Makes you feel good to know even celebrities go through the ups and downs of pregnancy.
