Description

Product Description
Most critics complain Back in Black, the album AC/DC recorded after the death of their original lead screamer Bon Scott, is ridiculously juvenile, obvious, snickering, bludgeoning, derivative, single-minded about sex and booze, a big cartoon. All true, of course, and--on rock 'n' ragers like "What Do You Do For Money Honey," "You Shook Me All Night Long," and the title track--all great. As Scott's replacement Brian Johnson reminds us, loud and crunchy, no-holds-barred "rock and roll ain't noise pollution...it makes good, good sense." Never trust anyone who refuses to drink domestic beer, laugh at the Three Stooges, or crank Back in Black. --David Cantwell

QUE EPOCA PODRIDA LOS 80 PARA EL ROCK....MUCHO TECLADITO Y PEINADOS RAROS..PERO HACIA FALTA ESTA OBRA MAESTRA EN ESOS TIEMPOS ...Y POR QUE NO AHORA???? EXCELENTE SUCESION DE TEMAS QUE DESTROZAN LAS MOLECULAS DE OXIGENO QUE RONDAN TU CABEZA Y QUE ESTUPIDAMENTE OXIDAS.. CUANTA CRUDEZA, ARROGANCIA, CALENTURA, POLENTA Y DESENFADO ESCUPEN ESTOS TEMAS.. ESPECIAL PARA ENCENDER CUALQUIER NOCHE DE ESAS EN QUE ESTAS TIRADO SIN SABER DONDE CORRER...QUE PODRIAS HACER POR DINERO, NENA? DEJAME PONER MI AMOR EN TI...SACUDE LAS PIERNAS...QUE MAS LE PODRIAMOS DECIR A UNA MUJER????? JA, JA, NO , NO ES EXCESO DE MACHISMO.....ES SOLO ROCK N ROLL Y A MI ME GUSTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yo. It's me, Guido, the guide that rarely comes to the aid of that old goat Metamorpho. I'm tellin ya-that guy is bonkers. I'm here with his laptop at one of my favorite New Yawk singles bars-The Fishnet. Man-are the babes here hot or what???? Yous guys gotta join me for a round of drinks. Hot! I'm tellin ya!

Yeah- I couldn't stand it no longer and took his computer to write a real review for a change. I dunno what happened to dat cranky Seer. Thought the psychedelic reviews ruled. But, as yous guys no, his taste in music now is waterlogged and lacks ENERGY BOOST!!! He coulda listened to me and reviewed good stuff like this. But no. Nevermind the asylum. The next stop for him will be the old folks home. I'm tellin' ya.

I ain't good at tellin' the history of AC/DC. Besides, yous nose all dat already. But, what I am good at is noing great heart pumping, mind-blasting, tough grinding ROCK MUSIC dat jolts your body into total aliveness! (Yes-even guides can feel alive-at times).

Slow start to "Hells Bells" which then moves into dat famous rock groove. But don't relax peeps. No. Each cut here is gonna take you out to a steep, snowy slope, drop you a thousand feet and speed you along an endless glacia (not unlike the ice cube in Guido's drink).

AC/DC are masters of the rock guitar riff. Listen to that tough lead on "Back in Black". I dunno. How great is great? Time and time they score. (My heroes in that department). Yo-listen to "Shoot to Thrill" and the hard thrust of the groove. This is livin' peeps. And they don't let up! "What Do You Do For the Money Honey" is more of the same. Moving Guido to a heightened sense of prowess! Ones gotta be bold and bring things to a point, if ya catch ma drift.

Alot of dese songs are about women and sex, sex and women, women and women, and sex sex sex. Hey, let's not kid ourselves. Dese things are eternal-even in ma world. Guido's favorite is "Let Me Put My Love Into You" for obvious reasons.

Peeps- ya can waste your time reading that wrinkly Seers reviews. Be ma guest. But he will never write a review about a crank-it-up Rock classic like "Back In Black". It is what good Rock is all about. No lame ballads, no moody crying, just right on, straight ahead tunes that grab ya and won't let go. Listen to it LOUD!! So loud that me and my group will hear it at The Fishnet. Oh yeah. You would all have fun with me around. Guaranteed.

Anyway, gotta go. Bartender brought me my 6th drink and there's this gorgeous blonde in the corner givin' me the eye. Take ma werd-get "Back in Black". Tell em Guido sent ya. Time for me to go into action. Showtime!!!

I will be writing a review on the legendary brilliant masterpiece album entitled "BACK IN BLACK" by one of Australia's as well as Rock n' Roll's greatest hard a*s kicking bands of ALL-TIME, the LEGENDARY AC/DC! This legendary album was originally released in 1980 on vinyl/LP and cassette on the infamous Atlantic Records label in association with the Atlantic Recording Corporation. Both these companies are affiliated with A Warner Communications Company. It also mentions 1980 Leidseplein Presse B.V. on the back cover of the album. I purchased the original release of this album on vinyl/LP and the matrix or ID number is SD 16018. I also purchased the very first release of this album on Compact Disc and the matrix or ID number is 16018-2. As always, if I hear any new additional information concerning this legendary album, I will edit this review immediately so that you the consumer will get the best informative and most accurate review possible.

What can I say about this legendary album and the great legendary band that recorded it all those years ago that hasn't already been said? This is the new gothic tales and continuation of a new chapter in the lives of AC/DC! This album would represent a new era in AC/DC'S new rejuvenated resurrected career! This album would also be the answer to many questions as to the status of AC/DC and how they would carry on due to the recent death of AC/DC frontman and Lead Singer Bon Scott! This album is quite simply, BON'S FUNERAL! In reality, 1980 would mark the end of the Bon Scott era and the new beginning for the Brian Johnson era! When AC/DC recruited fellow friend and AC/DC diehard Brian Johnson, the stage was set for a new dawn and day with a new AC/DC frontman and new leader in Rock n' Roll! Johnson would definitely prove once and for all, that he is definitely a force to be reckened with! Bon Scott once sang about being on a Highway to Hell! Well, newcomer Brian Johnson wanted to sing "Hells Bells" as a Eulogy and tribute to his fallen friend in hoping that Bon will have a safe journey ride and trip down to Hell with a bottle of JD in his hand! "BACK IN BLACK" would indeed be the result and answers to everybody's questions! "BACK IN BLACK" would also mark the return of HOT SHOT producer and friend Robert John "Mutt" Lange! In my opinion, "BACK IN BLACK" is ONE HELL OF A A*S KICKING ALBUM! Every single song track in this legendary album is GREAT!

I will list and briefly review all of the song tracks in their original exact running order as follows: (1.) "Hells Bells," (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! What a GREAT way to begin this legendary album masterpiece! THE BELLS TELL IT ALL! This song is quite simply, BON'S FUNERAL AND TRIBUTE! This song kicks a*s! I love it!) (2.) "Shoot To Thrill," (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! This song kicks a*s as well! Brian really shreds and abuses his blistering voice throughout this whole album! I love all the songs on this album!) (3.) "What Do You Do For Money Honey," (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! This song kicks a*s as well! Isn't this song a question? I love it!) (4.) "Given The Dog A Bone," (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Again, another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! This Rocker kicks a*s as well! I love this Rocker!) (5.) "Let Me Put My Love Into You," (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Again, another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! Johnson REALLY shreds his abused blistering voice in this Rocker! This Rocker REALLY kicks a*s as well! ALL THESE SONGS KICK SOME SERIOUS A*S! I love it!) (6.) "Back In Black," (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Again, this is another tribute to Bon! Again, this also another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! Another Johnson voice shredder! This song kicks a*s as well! I love this song!) (7.) "You Shook Me All Night Long," (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Breathtaking! This song is without a doubt, ONE OF THE GREATEST ANTHEMS IN ROCK N' ROLL HISTORY! This is another ALL-TIME GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! I love Angus' blistering guitar riff arrangements in this classic Rocker! Another Johnson voice shredder! This song kicks some SERIOUS A*S! I love this Rocker so dearly!) (8.) "Have A Drink On Me," (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Again, another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! This Rocker, like all the others, KICKS A*S! Again, another Johnson voice shredder! The lyrics to this Rocker sounds like another Bon Scott tribute in reference to Johnson pleading with Bon in having a drink in Hell on him! Sounds appropriate! I love it!) (9.) "Shake A Leg" (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Again, another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER and Johnson voice shredder! This Rocker kicks some SERIOUS A*S as well! I love this Rocker!) and (10.) "Rock n' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution." (Outstanding! Brilliant! Superb! Again, another GREAT AC/DC ROCKER! This song DEFINITELY kicks a*s as well! I love this Rocker! What a great and appropriate way to conclude this legendary album!) Overall, this is ONE HELL OF A BLISTERING A*S KICKING ALBUM! Every single song track contained in this legendary album is nothing less than outstanding and brilliant!

As you can see, this is definitely one great treasure album worth purchasing that he or she should definitely own as a valuable and important part of his or her own personal music collection. This priceless gem will always be around to persevere the test of time. This album without a doubt, will always be enjoyed and cherished for many more years to come, NOW AND FOREVER!

In closing, Angus Young has successfully continued in being the RAGING MADMAN playing a MEAN Fender SG guitar while STILL being dressed as a school teddy boy since 1974! WOW! Angus is going to be the OLDEST LIVING school teddy boy ALIVE! Brian Johnson has been the perfect replacement for AC/DC from 1980 up to now! Brian Johnson has proven and been successful in carrying the AC/DC torch along with the band's glorious tradition which has persevered to this very day! However, Johnson's continuing shredding of his self-abused vocal cords along with his love and passion for the Rock n' Roll lifestyle may prove fatal for his voice! I remember reading in the newspaper years ago that Brian Johnson has been told and forewarned by several doctor's that if he continues singing the way he does, he will NEVER sing again! Hearing Johnson sing today, it is clearly evident that his vocal cords are deteriorating! Don't get me wrong, I am not putting down Johnson in anyway shape or form! I'm just telling it from facts the way it is! I really do hope that Johnson will take better care of his vocal cords, it would be a tragedy for AC/DC to lose him too! Johnson is now much too valuable and precious to lose at this point in AC/DC'S career! Here's to you Bon, Brian, Angus, Malcolm, Cliff and Phil! Keep persevering! Keep The Faith! R.I.P. Ronald Belford (Bon) Scott, Born 9 July 1946, Died 19 February 1980 at age 33. Thanks for reading my review and I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it for your reading pleasure. I also hope that you will read all of my other reviews in the near future when time permits. AC/DC RULES! BONNY LIVES! Long Live Rock n' Roll! Rock out always and take care. Forever in Rock, J.L.

I'm not really reviewing this album, I just wanna silence those idiots who seem to have nothing better to do than write dumb comments on rock bands such as ACDC, Nirvana, Beatles, Metallica, GNR, Foreigner, Dire Straits etc. this ticks us off. Just STFU already. Well, anyway this is not a great album by any means, let alone a classic. Some have already said that, it's very repetitive and boring, and of course Brian Johnson's voice is another big problem. In short, unless you like moronic screaming over mediocre musicianship, look elswhere.

Obviously, the person who wrote the review below me knows absolutely jack squat about music... apparently Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd and AC/DC must pale in comparison to his bands... I bet he thinks The Who and The Beatles suck too.

Long story short, for anyone out there that appreciates music at all, you must buy this album. Music these days is so overproduced and overpitched to kids that it's almost a crime against humanity. From the moment this album starts to the final chord it's all classic rock and roll. "Shoot to Thrill" is probably one of the greatest songs ever made. Blast it in your car and drive down an interstate... you'll probably get a speeding ticket, but it's worth it. Keep on rocking.
