| Barney, BJ, and Baby Bop invite young viewers to accompany them as they visit the Fort Worth Zoo in this 50-minute, never-televised Barney show. Unlike the typical televised episode, this installment is shot completely on location. Absent is the core group of children who interact with Barney--instead, Barney focuses on BJ, Baby Bop, and his young viewers. BJ attempts to chronicle their journey through the zoo with his camera, Baby Bop embarks on a quest to introduce her stuffed elephant Nellie to a real elephant, and Scooter McNutty tries desperately to locate the squirrel exhibit. Barney provides key information about animals like Mandle monkeys, zebras, and flamingos while posing many questions and challenges that invite viewer interaction. Also included is footage of real children discussing and imitating a variety of animals. Eleven fun songs accompany Barney's expedition including "What Will We See at the Zoo," "Rock Like a Monkey," and "Everybody Needs a Nap." The Fort Worth Zoo proves to be a wonderful setting for this innovative Barney episode and the animal photography is close-up and excellent. Author: Guest Both my 2 1/2 year old and 11 month old love this DVD! It's got great songs, tons of pictures of animals and information about the animals at the zoo. Plus, it's long . . 50 minutes. Perfect for me to get things done around the house while they watch!

Author: Guest Me being a 29 year old HARDCORE barney fan i was disgusted to find this pety attempt to steer 3 year old children to believe that the animals in the silly zoo can infact talk to you. Like, children are going to believe that. The media aren't giving young people enough credit these days. I love Barney but this is just too much. How can Barney go to sleep in his tree house knowing that his name of what is all good in the world is heading some big money scam headed by the big boys on the top floor. All those hours in the snow waiting for Barney to come out of his live show seem pointless now. I guess i have no choice but to throw away his clipped toenails and used tissues which i have collected through the years. What about the marble shrine i carved out of my own hands. What do i do with that now. All in the trash i suppose along with this DVD. I watched it so much and i did love it but on my 27th consecutive time of watching it i noticed the strings on the giraffe's neck. i couldn't believe it. oh well i'll get over it. At least i know that barney isnt some guy in a suit. because if that was true i dont think i can go on.

Author: Guest This video was a complete disaster! No one liked it. The only zoo video we liked was Alphabet Zoo. I reccomend Alphabet Zoo if no one in your family likes this video except you.

Author: Guest In this video, Barney, BJ and Baby Bop spend a day at the Zoo where Scooter McNutty and Ms. Kepler (the science teacher from school) join them. Typical Barney fun ensues with jokes and songs and lots of animal pals.
Some of the animals featured:
Flamingos, meerkats, giraffes, tortoise, tigers, lions, porcupines, chimps, apes, monkeys and gorillas, hippos, parrots, zebras, warthog, elephants, barn owl, bear, kangaroo, koala, among others I might have missed :)
The real strength of this video is that there are lots of opportunities for kids to learn about animals. Among other things Barney discusses how different animals prefer different environments: food and activities, for example. Hippos, he points out, like the water and kids learn that hippos' noses are high on their heads to allow them to stay mostly submerged while they breathe.
The photography is very good and the music catchy. A great Barney addition!!!
