Barney Songs - From The Park :: 1571324755

| For preschoolers who enjoy Barney primarily for his toe-tappin' sing-alongs, here's a program that offers 45 minutes of nearly nonstop music, borrowing from the popular format of earlier videos Barney Songs and More Barney Songs. In this case, the beloved purple dino celebrates the flora, fauna, and all-around fun of the park. The musical collection is a mixture of new and previously aired tunes (from TV's Barney & Friends), compiled for their similar themes of picnics ("Gonna Have a Picnic"), playgrounds ("A Swing Is a Beautiful Thing"), ponds ("Duckies Do"), and parades ("Big Parade of Costumes"). Between songs, learning concepts such as counting and colors and a storybook reading of the classic tale "Lion and the Mouse" cap this woodland excursion. Though filled with predictable pleasures, the film lacks the creative sizzle found in the jazz-rock-folk medleys of More Barney Songs, and Barney's new voice-over may take some getting used to. Author: Guest I totally agree with what a previous viewer stated about the new Barney voice. I loved Barney when I was younger ... I used to be a memeber of the fan club - I've got the t-shirts, photos and I have even begun to collect the original videos so when I have kids they can watch them. I do not enjoy the new voice of Barney. He is trying too hard to sound the same and it sounds awful.

Author: Guest I think the important thing here is "What do the Kids Think?" - not the parents, and my kids, grandkids, and their friends simply LOVE this CD. They sing with it, they dance with it and they don't even have to watch it to do so. All they need is to hear it (talking 2 to 5 year olds here...). It's well worth the money just to watch them watch or listen to this DVD.

Author: Guest It appears someone decided to fire Bob West, the voice of Barney for the last ten years. The new Barney voice is irritating, with an actor trying to hard to recreate what came naturally to West. To bad, because this could have been a good DVD. As it is, this DVD ia a disappointment.

Author: Guest My daughter who is 21 months old has watched this DVD at least once (usually 2-3 times) EVERY DAY since we purchased it. She LOVES music, and this is full of really cute songs. She gets bored with the TV episodes of Barney, but this compilation of singing clips from the TV show is perfect for her. I see that some were upset over the voice change, but it certainly doesn't bother my daughter. She sings along with it and enjoys it -- that's what's important to me.

Author: Guest After watching the same 6 dvds over and over again, I was excited when my 22 month old pointed out this title. Finally, something new.As soon as I started watching it, I could tell that they had changed the actor that plays Barney's voice... and can't stand it... But I also noticed that they seem to have changed the actress who plays Baby Bop's voice as well... Please bring back the previous voices.... This video is almost unwatchable.. As an aside, it was good to see the new children's cast... One of them made a cameo in the video "Come over to Barney's House" ..
