Author: Guest This School House edition is used by my grand-children ages 6 and 4 and is very upbeat. Best of School House Rock captures the childrens imagination and remains as a vivid learning tool. My daughter learned many of the basics as a young person when the Videos of School House were available when she was younger.

Author: Guest This is a good collection of those catchy favorites, as I remember enjoying them as a wee lad, but there's certainly room for Lolly, Lolly, Lolly, Get Your Adverbs Here. Small gripe, but collections invariably leave out someone's personal favorite I suppose, and I always dug that one. Glad though that these educational (and musically well-crafted ditties) are on remastered CDs at last.

Author: Guest My daughter needed to learn the Preamble for school and was having problems learning it because it happens to be quite lengthy. I remembered hearing it when I was a little girl on tv and singing along with it which made it much easier to learn. She got extra credit for being the first to learn it in her class and we let the teacher know that the cd was available if they needed it for other children in the class.

Author: Guest I used this for my 13yr old step-daughter, 12ry old, & 9yr old while studying the constitution. Not only have they memorized the preamble, they can't stop singing it. I find myself humming all the songs. Even my two year old is singing the songs. All the kids can effectively summerize the birth of this country, the functions of the constitution, a Bill and more. My 9yr old was having a hard time remembering her multiplication facts, but after listening to the songs; "Three is a Magic Number, My Hero Zero, Figure Eight..." just a couple of times it just clicked and she's flying through division now. My 13yr old is stuggling with language arts, but since listening to the songs; Unpack Your Adjectives, (my favorite) Conjunction Junction, & Interjections things clicked for her. Language Arts is no longer an overwhelming subject. All my kids found The Best of Schoolhouse Rocks to be a treat. They ask me to put it on while they're working, promising they'll work quietly and diligently. This is a win-win situation. They love it, I love it, even the 2yr old loves it. I also bought the DVD and even my "too cool" 13yr old watches it. This is not just for little kids. My 13, 12, & 9yr olds loaded it on their Ipod's!

Author: Guest Schoolhouse Rock helped me with Grammar when I was young, and it helped my son out this year, learning Grammar by singing their songs in his head and getting great grades on parts of speech tests. I highly recommend it!
