Description

Product Description
"Eat Taste Heal makes the ancient healing wisdom of Ayurveda accessible -- and deliciously so -- to modern cooks everywhere. Read this book." - Deepak Chopra, author of The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life

Eat Taste Heal: An Ayurvedic Cookbook for Modern Living provides modern applications of Ayurveda, humankind’s most ancient system of healthy living. A complete guidebook and cookbook in one, this book offers every reader an individualized blueprint for achieving vibrant health. Fulfilling the adage, "Let Food Be Thy Medicine," Eat Taste Heal offers recipes that are inviting to both the kitchen novice and master chef.

The authors are a unique trio: physician, patient, and chef. Dr. Thomas Yarema M.D., director of the Kauai Center for Holistic Medicine and Research, created for his patients an understandable dietary program rooted in common sense. Daniel Rhoda, a patient who found healing through Ayurveda, demystifies the ancient science that helped restore his health. Chef Johnny Brannigan, an internationally trained Ayurvedic chef, has created more than 150 recipes to empower individual healing through the exploration of taste.

Eat-Taste-Heal is a journey into mind, body and spirit. It is essential to our modern lives while offering the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda in a fresh and available way. It has changed the way I eat, taste and relate to my body's imbalances. Food has become a ritual of heart and mind bringing into tangible form the wisdom our diets have always offered us, if only we would listen. I will pass this jewel on.

Artfully designed, carefully written and delicious, this book will have a profound effect on anyone who eats food. The authors deliver the universal message of human individuality and personalized nutrition in a shining volume that is sure to cast a broad stroke across the health landscape. Read it.

This book has had a profound effect on my life - spiritually, physically and intellectually. I was unfamiliar with Ayurveda prior to this and the ingenious and patient authors present not only beautiful pictures and delicious recipes, but also lay out the framework of the Ayurvedic healing system in an accessible yet detailed manner.

I feel blessed to have opened this book - using the techniques and recipes the authors suggest, I feel calmer and balanced than I have ever been in my life. I recommend it to all of my friends and loved ones and I enjoy giving it as a gift.
