Author: Guest Perfect for my 13 month old who now says "excuse me" and "yes, please". I am waiting for other phrases to appear! Very American - with 'Mommy' being used. I was scheptical - but my daughter loves it and can manage to lift the flips easily.

Author: Guest My daughter is 19 months and has many books with toddler pages that she takes great care of. This book and the flaps have been nothing but a pain. The books content is OK, but I won't buy any more lift the flap books for several months.

Author: Guest I have taught my 18 month old (since he was about 16 months) to say please and thank you. We are working on "excuse me" and "sorry". Our son happily participates in manners throughout the day. I bought this book to re-enforce what we've been teaching. I think this book bombed for us because of either one or all of these: 1) He already knows manners and felt patronized. 2) He was turned off by the words, "No, Thank You", taking to mean- don't say thank you. 3) The pictures of the faces on the children are blown up like balloons- out of proportion. I thought the book was fine, but, he says, "YUCK!", everytime he sees the book and he refuses to let me read it to him. I am taking this to mean any number of things. We can only guess, but whatever the reason is, this book just didn't do it for us.

Author: Guest This is one of two board books by Karen Zatz we bought for our 12 month old baby. The book is very easy to read with short questions like "You burped, what do you say"? When you open the flap there is a bright, fun picture & the words "Excuse Me" written inside. My child loves to be read to & responded well to this book at a young age.

Author: Guest I originally purchased this book as a gift, thinking it was too "babyish" for my 2 1/2 yr. old. But he saw it and loved it! The words are so simple to read and understand that it has become a great learning tool as he begins to focus on the letters and sounds of words. Great pictures and great ideas. It's really helped him understand how, when and why to say things like "excuse me or thank you."
