Initially, I was skeptic. But after taking the time to read through the chapters, I was able to get a better understanding of what to expect and how to protect myself from any unwanted negative beings. On my first try, My head became light and, unlike in the book Sanaya has written on getting in contact with your higher guide, I felt as if a frequency had been opened up in my mind--with my higherself it felt more like a reconnection. Anyway,I could clearly hear and feel my spirit guide's voice and presence. It was not forceful, and did not advise me to do anything negative. In fact, she, Sonoma, did not advise me on anything at all. She said that to advise would be like telling me how to live my life and that she could not do that. But what she would do was help me to see all probable outcomes of my decisions. From there I was told to choose with my heart. Another interesting fact hat I would like to note is that when I asked for her name, she did not hesitate to respond, although at first I couldn't completely make out what was being relayed to me. After a couple of days, the name Sonoma popped into my mind and I immediately looked it up. It means center of the universe.

This book has perminently improved my life. I am experiencing joy and love at a whole new level. I am receiving healing and powerful light energy in at a much higher level. "Personal Power Through Awareness" by Sanaya Roman really prepared me for reading "Opening to Channel". "Opening to Channel" is the greatest gift I have received from any book I have ever read. When a person is ready for this information, it will improve their lives forever!

Okay first I don't want to seem like I am a total non-believer in channeling etc. I have been attempting to study all aspects of mediumship and psychic ability. I am working on developing my ability's that are already present. I was hoping this book would be a tool to furthur my ability's and grow as a medium. I think that we each have to weigh in with our own "feel" of something and I believe that feeling comes from our spirit guides within. Having said that, I am of the opinion that these authors want to sell you this idea and do they sell it hard. I found myself saying outloud "what a crock". It was just one of those books full of misinformation in my opinion and a total waste of time and money. I will look elsewhere to continue to develop my ability's and hope that this helps someone. I would recommend highly John Edward's CD's in regards to meeting your guides and meditation. Opening to Channel just completley turned me off and I felt it radiated with ignorance and untruth. Please also ALWAY'S protect yourself when you meditate or channel contrary to what this books say's, it IS IMPORTANT.
