Author: Guest My son, aged 2, loves the "bird" videotape! I'm trying to teach him spanish but I'm having trouble finding visual materials in Spanish for him. This video touches the basics in an entertaining way so it's engaging for kids. The acting and singing isn't top notch but it serves the purpose: my son has been belting out the "colores" song at the supermarket!
I just wished they would make a whole series of it with more advanced vocabulary because this video is quite short and makes you want to see more!
I speak Spanish so I don't need subtitles, but I agree with other reviewers that it would be nice to have them.
Overall: the most engaging teaching material we have found so far.

Author: Guest My 2.5-yeard old LOVES Mr. Parrot and sits through the whole video repeating some words here and there. I only wish there were videos out there for younger kids that teach more of the language than just "Hi", "My name is...", and numbers. This one is cool and engaing, but short and only covers a very small part of the introductory Spanish language.

Author: Guest I am using the DVD with my 6 & 7 year old daughters. We love it! They beg to watch this DVD over and over. They have learned the numbers, colors, and many simple phrases. I popped the DVD into my computer and was able to print out a complete transcript and learning guide. We are using this in our home school. I will use this until the children tire of it, and then move on to a more formal Spanish instruction.

Author: Guest I am reviewing the video not the DVD. My 1-yr-old likes to watch the video although she doesn't speak any language yet. We have lots of children videos and this is one of her favorites. By watching the video with her, I have picked up quite a few spanish words and phrases, such as numbers, colors, introductions, and greetings. I think this video is nicely done. I only wish they had subtitles or closed caption so we'd know how the words are spelled. I hope they have this on the DVD version.
