Author: Guest I love the Reboot series, I would love to see the first three seasons brought to DVD. I hope that they continue on the series after these episodes because the show was so creative and was the first computer animated TV show!
Author: Guest Unless you are a fan of this series (Reboot) then I think it would be hard to get anything other than mild enjoyment from this DVD.
Fans, however will find that it nicely joins together two of the on-going threads of the series.
As I said - mainly for fans.
Author: Guest Reboot is one of those cleverly written series that wakes up the parent who drew the short straw of it's your turn to get up with the kids. Lots of nifty cultural references should keep you amused threw your third viewing at least. But don't start with this disk; get the rest of the series first. Then, e-mail those pinheads at Mainframe Entertainment and tell them to revive the series and quit wasting creative energy on the rest of their commercial dreck!!!
Author: Guest It's a cryin' shame this series didn't continue. I hadn't watched Reboot for a couple of years and managed to watch part of Daemon Rising on vidcaps. When I realized this DVD was out, I was finally able to watch the last few shows in glorious crisp details and colours. Sniff...it was beautiful. I miss this show. Game Over couldn't hold a candle to it!
OK, so after Daemon, they were reaching for stories. If they'd stopped right there, it would have been a great ending to the series. My Two Bobs just didn't seem as tightly written or well thought out.
Author: Guest If you're searching for ReBoot, chances are you already know about the cartoon and how good it is.
Season 4, all 8 episodes of it, is here on this DVD. The stories do seem to be out of place and not in keeping with the world created by the first 3 season. Almost no time or effort is put into defeating the games, nor is there really much explanation for Enzo being able to upgrade himself. The battle against Daemon seems to be taking place in a completely different universe than the one created by season 3.
Unfortunately, because Disney bought ABC, I have a feeling they have some legal hold that is keeping seasons 1&2 from being released in the US on DVD. But we can always hope.
