For someone who isinterested in the survival topic, this is a great buy.

I bought this book because I felt like it would contain information that everyone should know, and I was right! I was completely clueless about survival techniques, but not anymore! Mr. Wiseman goes through every possible scenario and how to deal with any kind of problem that could arrise in a survival situation. There are detailed pictures of plants, how to make snares, etc. This book is a must for EVERYONE.

I bought this as a gift for my brother-in-law. He and I are both avid "Man vs. Wild" fans and this book is the bible of survival info. He reads it almost every night.

This book actually has very good techniques and survival tips. It covers all details of what to do (and what not to do). The only area this book could be better in is descriptions of plants/animals. Wherever it was necessary to describe many plants, for example poisonous plants, the description were very brief and the "pictures" (really drawings) were quite bad. The same applies to animals. That is why I only gave 4 stars. Other than that, this book is really a great resource.
