Sesame Street - Do the Alphabet :: 0738920770

 |
| When Baby Bear must learn his alphabet in one day, Big Bird patiently takes him under his wing in Do the Alphabet. Only "The Method," (a hilarious combination of dance, song, visualization, and group therapy) can help Baby Bear on such short notice. The result is 40 minutes of ABC's Sesame Street style, where vibrant educational cartoons, enthusiastic kids, famous guest stars (here, Billy Joel), and harmonizing Muppets make lasting educational impressions. Children age 2 to 6 will enjoy the upbeat musical numbers dedicated to various letters; a favorite segment features the Boogie Woogie Piggies and their flashy rendition of the alphabet song. Throughout the well-paced show, Big Bird offers just the right blend of coaching and friendship, much like the ace support group leader he's mildly spoofing. Hats off to Sesame Street for helping Baby Bear--and his viewing audience--understand that learning takes time, patience, and a team effort. --Liane Thomas Editorial Descriptions are usually submitted by the manufacturers, publishers and authors. Author: Guest This video is wonderful entertainment. My son loves watching it and the songs are really catchy. Goes great with the DVD "Here come the ABC's" by They Might Be Giants.

Author: Guest I wish CTV would consider reissuing "Sesame Street" as a chronological series, starting with "Season One," and working their way to the present... I would love to see the old episodes as they were originally broadcast, not with a few select bits chopped up into the new, modern mix. The old shows were so wonderful... plus that awful, whiny Elmo was nowhere to be seen! Anyway, that's my wish as a Sesame Street kid who now has a kid of my own...
PS - yay, Sesame Street!

Author: Guest I bought this for my 21 month old and she finds it very entertaining, but it's not one of her most requested favorites. We prefer the Brainy Baby ABC's as she has learned her whole alphabet and phonics from it by the time she was 18 months old.

Author: Guest I expected more out of Sesame street videos...I didn't think it held my daughter's interest for long....She started screaming at me to change it..Also, baby bear shakes so much while talking that it strains your eyes...I wouldn't recommend it...
Along with this I bought Leap Frog - Letter Factory and it is fabulous...I would suggest all to try that before any other video.

Author: Guest This video is pretty good, but it didn't really keep the attention of my 20 month old daughter. Maybe it is better for a little bit older child.
