This is a true masterpiece in terms of plot, development and major conclusions. Everything narrows at the end of the book to your true personality and how well and skillfully you present it to the girls. You can have many girls and have sex with them but soon or late you will definitely feel what Strauss felt- a profound need for a true love, relationship and commitment. That's why there is A LOT more in this book than just a story for a pick up artist.
One of the main conclusions I reached after reading this book is that you have to have confidence. If you need some help as techniques, it's OK. After all, no one is born with the knowledge how to approach girls and Neil's book does help you to some extend in this direction.
However, this is a book about Neil's transformation from an "AFC (average frustrated crump) into a wise man who is able to recognize the importance of a true love and relationships. He proves that it IS possible to realize for yourself what exactly you are looking for and then go and find it.
I enjoyed this book very much and now have greater confidence after I realized that I do not have to be a pick up artist in order to be successful with women. Another bestseller I also liked very much is Scientifically guaranteed male multiple orgasms and ultimate sex by Alan Ritz, which tells you how to have great stamina, very hard Johnson, etc. every time. Both books are fantastic when it comes to girls and ultimate sex!

This book's very appearance screams that it is the Bible for picking up women. The pages are edged in gold and attached to the fake leather binding is a shiny red silk bookmark, just like a King James Version. But this book is not a pick-up instruction manual - it is an author's memoir of an era in his life.
Our hero did spend two years in an internet-connected underground community of PUA's (pick-up artists) teaching AFC's (average frustrated chimps) with LSE (low self esteem) how to FMAC (find, meet, attract, close) HB's (hot babes) - working through LMR (last minute resistance) and avoiding at all costs LTR's (long-term relationships). After a paid gig as a student, he was given a coveted position as wing-man apprentice for a coming workshop. He studied 18 hours/day for weeks, studying NLP (neurolinguistic programming), psychology, body language, took dance lessons, handwriting analysis, rune reading, & tarot cards - "after all, everybody's favorite subject is themself."
Under the watchful eye of the gurus and apprentices, clients underwent outrageous on-the-job-training in bars and everywhere else the women were. In the process our average looking hero became a star, became comfortable with himself, and eventually fell in love - leaving the game.
When Neil Strauss entered the game, he was already a successful author. This is a well written book that flows like a novel and - believe it or not - provides many essential truths about life. Whether you're a frustrated Cassanova or just a reader of good books, this one will satisfy. In Strauss's words, "Being together [with Lisa] has required a lot more time and work than learning to pick up women ever did, but it has brought me far greater satisfaction and joy. Perhaps that's because it's not a game." Highly recommended.

This is one of the most intriguing books I have ever read! The main character is fascinating and I envied him at least 4 times. The idea itself for the existence of a secret society of pick up artists is quite intriguing. I think that Neil has presented as a true master story teller all those ups and downs he has gone through till "the happy end".
This book will show to the average guy the "pick up" of girls from a completely different perspective. It is neither that difficult nor it is easy if you know certain "lines, affirmations, etc. I would love to see this great story as a movie. Another bestseller which wowed me is Alan Ritz' "Scientifically guaranteed male multiple orgasms and ultimate sex". If you want to pick up girls you must be good in bed as well!

Interesting story line with some good tips. I agree with a previous reviewer that this book will help you spot other PUAs trying to run game on S. Beach and some of the Hollywood night spots. Like other reviewers I also recommend the System (Roy Valentine) as an excellent seduction guide.

This stuff is for real, being a very, very good practical neuro linguistic programmer myself. This stuff works! Style creates and blends a beautiful story of the average joe reporter tranforming into a pickup artist "Superman!" This book is not for the faint at heart! It's for real stuff, methodology and practical, applicable techniques. I liked the interplay between Papa, Style, Mystery and Tyler characters. Great formula for a future screenplay and movie that I would love to be a part of someday! I learned speed seduction from Ross Jeffries Deluxe Home Study course and own almost all his tapes. I look forward to meeting Style, Mystery, Ross and David DeAngelo all in one room. Love is the missing element in any good realistic/practical philosophology here. Beautifully packaged, artfully woven and exotic graphics make this book a classic for all time PUAs and MPUAs. I'm a fan of Style and look forward to working with him one day? possibly running a seminar or training
together in the near future! One may imagine creating the LOVE relationship of a lifetime with these useful strategies in The Game! Maybe everyman can find his "Lisa" with the elegant and practical-workable-techniques and new code seduction strategies!
