Author: Guest This is the absolute best book on this topic - and believe me, I'v researched them all! It's comprehensive, easy to read, entertaining, informative, and specific.

Author: Guest I have never spent under $20 more wisely. This almost 500 page book has already saved me lots of money, time, and worry with its finance/tax advice, its description of potential retirement places (I was able to narrow my list of locations considerably), its wealth of references, its worksheets, and its comprehensive approach to retirement - it truly is the ultimate guide, and you won't need to purchase another book on this topic. Kudos to the authors for writing the kind of guide that is easy to read, practical, specific, and realistic.

Author: Guest Overall I found this book to be quite informative and would definitely recommend it.

Author: Guest I loved this book because it is comprehensive. It looked at all the facets of retirement, and wrote about them in an interesting, easy-to-understand manner. The combination of statistics and anecdotes was appealing, too - hard facts mixed with stories from real people. The "strengths" and "weaknesses" of areas to consider for retirement were very helpful - specific recommendations were made, not just vague endorsements. The financial advice was sound, and the examples given made them easy to apply.
If you are starting to think about retirement, know someone who is, or are recently retired, this book is a real winner!

Author: Guest Like another reviewer, I also have found a few more interesting books that are more in-depth and more down to earth. I'm not the yuppie type who will have a fortune to spend when I do retire, and I'd say this book is bound to appeal to that particular crowd.
Far more interesting and appealing is the series written by John Howells over the past decade. He seems to have put more time into his books and goes into more depth overall; he and his wife have made it their business to RV-it all over the place and personally check things out, staying all different places and getting to know the folks who live there. I like that. His "Retirement on a Shoestring" is great, whether you end up living that way or not.
