| Christmas! The mere word inspires shrieks and wiggles in the 1- to 6-year-old crowd. Treat the kiddies to a tuneful outlet for their holiday excitement with this festive, 45-minute video from Australia's award-winning children's group, the Wiggles. Main vocalist Greg Page (in yellow) teams up with cohorts Murray Cook (guitar), Anthony Field (guitar and trumpet), and Jeff Fatt (accordion and keyboard) to deliver over a dozen delightful Christmas favorites--some old, many new, and almost all with a boppin' beat. What makes this holiday sing-along superior to other, similar tapes is the genuine joy the performers emit while they dance, play, and smile throughout each one- to two-minute tune. Simple yet eye-catching sets for songs including "Felice Navidad" and "Jingle Bells" never upstage the foursome and their boyish glee. Many performances include equally wiggly children, dressed as elves or reindeer, who appear every bit as genuine as Greg, Murray, Anthony, and Jeff. In a favorite segment, Anthony introduces and chats with some of the kids before they perform a musical nativity play. The final few minutes features a live performance of the "Wiggly Christmas Medley" from The Wiggles Big Show. A packed audience full of happy, dancing little ones presents a visual testament to this wonderful group's popularity. --Liane Thomas Editorial Descriptions are usually submitted by the manufacturers, publishers and authors. Author: Guest We've just begun to watch this marvelous video of the Fab Four from Australia, and it's no disappointment. There is lots of excitement and dancing, and singing, and for the little Wiggle fans and old alike, this is a true celebration.
The Wiggles have incorporated the traditional carols and songs together with contemporary arrangements, plus their own tribute to the Christmas season. The children are always fun to watch, and the renditions of Away in the Manger and Felice Navidad are exceptional. Then there's Let's All Clap for Santa Claus, and at the end some scenes from the Wiggles Big Show, which features many of the songs in this video.
This video can be watched all year long, like some folks do, however, we like the idea that we can take the Wiggles along for Christmas and let them rest until the next Christmas arrives.
A truly wonderful video, and highly recommended!!!

Author: Guest The Wiggles celebrate Christmas with lots of entertaining original and traditional songs. While it may not be one of my personal favorites, my 3-year-old just loves it and we watch this dvd all year long. While we are not regular church-goers, I love the fact that this dvd does not shy away from what Christmas is all about. While most of the songs are Santa-related, there are a few standards such as "Away in a Manger" and "Silent Night" that creep in there as well. My toddler has a harder time sitting through the slower songs, but we sing them together and that makes it more fun. For the most part, the songs are what we have come to expect from the Wiggles - upbeat and lots of fun. My only complaint is that the Wiggles should have checked their spelling before releasing this dvd - it's "Feliz" not "Felice".... :)

Author: Guest This time, The Wiggles and their friends are celebrating Christmas along with Santa Claus. They have a picnic on the beach at Christmas Day, party on The Goodship Feathersword with the Captain and perform their own concert during the end of the year.I'm so happy that The Wiggles have their own Christmas in Australia-just like we have ours in America.

Author: Guest If your kids are Wiggles fans then nothing is more exciting than Christmas with the Wiggles! We really like this DVD and even though my son is not a huge Wiggles fan anymore we still watched this alot over the past Christmas. The songs are catchy and the dance routines are, too. We find ourselves dancing and singing along!

Author: Guest We recently purchased this DVD to replace our rather worn VHS copy. You see, our son is such a Wiggles fan that he wants to watch this year-round, instead of just during the holidays. It's a great mix of both religious (apparently the Wiggles haven't forgotten the "reason for the season") and secular tunes, done with the usual Wiggly sense of fun and spirit. Traditional songs such as "Here Comes Santa Claus," "Jingle Bells," "Away in a Manger," and "Silent Night" are perfectly mixed with both original songs and some fun "re-imaginings" of popular Wiggles tunes. For example, "Go, Santa, Go" is instantly reminiscent of Captain Feathersword's theme song, but with a definite Christmas twist. Also included is "Feliz Navidad," which has helped my son's budding interest in Spanish. As usual, the Wiggles include kids (some of them their own) as dancers, singers, and as players in a solemn and reverential Nativity scene. The sets are colorful, the music is often fun and playful, and the Wiggles seem (as always) to be having a blast. Highly recommended to fans of Australia's "Fab Four," but also to those who want a fun and enjoyable Christmas DVD.
I hope this review was helpful.
